DEAR FELLOW CITIZENS,

I am Sheryl Nuxoll, a Republican candidate for the Idaho State Senate, District 8.

Our rights and freedom are being taken away every day, through government overregulation, taxation, and the expansion of the public sector which is causing loss of private sector jobs, despite the promises of the present administration. Two years ago, I was elected to the Idaho County Republican Central Committee. I sought this position because I was very concerned about our country. Sadly, my fears were confirmed with the economic recession and the legislation passed in the U. S. Congress, especially the new health care program.

I do not want the Great American Experiment that Our Founding Fathers started to fail. Our founders believed in limited government. They believed that the smaller the unit and the closer it is to the people, the easier it is to guide, correct and solve. Like the founders, my motto of “less government, more opportunity” embodies this fundamental constitutional principle. Like you, I treasure my freedom and opportunity. The time to act is now.

I will vote to protect our rights, not eliminate them. I will vote to lower taxes, not increase them. I will vote to stimulate private sector jobs, not protect government micromanagement. I will vote to protect life, not destroy it.

It is only through the private businesses that the economy can recover because the private sector pays for everything that the government spends. More private businesses mean more jobs; more jobs mean less taxes. However, this can only happen if the State stands up to the Federal Government which has lost its checks and balances. Government’s proper role is to protect our rights, not take them away.

I have great hope in God and you, the citizens of this great country. Together, we can get back to the greatness of government of, by, and for the people. Patrick Henry said, “There is a just God who presides over the destinies of nations, and who will raise up friends to fight our battle with us. The battle, sir, is not to the strong alone; it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave.”

With God, let us be the vigilant, the active, the brave. Please vote for Sheryl Nuxoll in the November 2nd general election, and I will never forget who hired me and that I work for the people of Idaho. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Sheryl L Nuxoll
